West Dundee River Challenge (Intelligentsia Cup Cycling Series) - July

In 2016, West Dundee became a host city for the Intelligentsia Cup, a 10-day bicycle road racing event for amateur and professional cyclists which takes place in mid-July each year. Since then, the race has returned annually to our downtown area and brought exhilaration and race-day activities.

Concerts In the Park - Summer Months

Each summer, the Dundee Township Park District, in conjunction with the Villages of West Dundee, East Dundee and Carpentersville, puts on a series of concerts in area parks, providing free fun entertainment for residents of all ages.

Grafelman Park in West Dundee and Lions Park in East Dundee play host to several such events during the months of June, July and August, with a concert and fireworks display at Meadowdale Park in Carpentersville at the end of June. This is a great opportunity to get together with family and friends for dinner, fresh air, entertainment and community spirit!

Friday night features heart-pounding live entertainment and a spectacular fireworks display, along with mouth-watering food and beverage options. West Dundee Halloween Party - October

In 2011, West Dundee resident Jill Harris proposed a fun, free family-focused Halloween Party for the West Dundee community. The event quickly became a favorite, with families from all around the Dundee community dressing up and converging on Grafelman Park on a Saturday in October each year.

Grafelman Park will be full of Halloween and Fall themed activities for kids of all ages, including a costumes parade and contest (with prizes), trunk or treat, games and more! Further information about this year's event will be posted as we get closer to the event date.
